Camp

Bone health camp at the KSSCREWA hall, Hubballi

KSSCREWA hall, Hosur Circle, Hubballi

A camp held at the Karnataka State Senior Citizen & Retired Employees Welfare Association hall at Hosur Circle, Hubballi. A talk covered the medicines used to increase bone density, including the anti-resorptive group (bisphosphonates, raloxifene, calcitonin, estrogen and zoledronic acid infusion) and the bone-building group (teriparatide), alongside the role of vitamin K2. Attendees registered at the door and bone density tests were carried out on the day. The exact date of this camp is still being confirmed with the project team.

Immediate outcome

Attendees received a talk on bone health and medication options, and bone density testing was carried out on the day.
